The Call of Wild: Summary (Chapter 3)

     At the beginning Buck didn't react to Spitz's provocations. However at the next day, when Perrault distributed the fish, Buck left his nest and when he finished his ration and returned, he found his nest occupied by Spitz so he sprang upon him with fury. The camp was suddently surrounded by starving huskies with injured the team of dogs. After that, the fight of the leader position began with the chase of a rabbit and ended with Spitz's death.
